I am working on a project that looks at how digital photography has changed the way people use images. How do people use photography in the digital age? The mystery is no longer an hour away waiting for your print, but ends seconds after the shutter is closed. There are more images being captured than ever before, however, the belief is that people no longer print their memories. Where do they go? Instead they either keep them on their camera, load them into their computer, or possibly archive them to CD/DVD for back up purposes. Have you ever lost any of your precious memories because your computer crashed? I did! Have you replaced your photo album with a photo slide show with music or possibly created a hard covered book, or unique cards or invitations. The ideas are endless and I would love to hear yours. No, it's is just something my husband created for our own personal albums. We retired after 30+ years in the photo business. It was something he has just been playing with.

I hate to admit this but we just started taking digital pic. in January 0f 2007. I know i cant beleive it either. Then it was not until lats month that i finally downloaded over 700 pictires to my computer. Just learning how to post them.......I then copied them to CD and put them on all our computers at the house and the 2 Laptops........Sincerly just learning...

I email my photos to my yahoo account and store them there. I can get them from anywhere with a computer; i.e. home, work, friends, etc and it doesn't take up any of my hard drive space on my computer or camera.

So what do you do with all of those digital pictures????? Here's a site that is free and it has alot of ways that you show off or use your pictures http://homepagenow.com/#category/US04-08. I created a quick website for my son and in addition to storing our photo's you can store video and audio as well. They have some easy templates that can be used for a variety of ideas, whether it is just a way to display your photo album, a resume, a party, wedding etc.

The possibilities are endless these days. I have alot more ideas and tricks up my sleeves. More to come.
