This year the musical is Seussical the Musical. Last year we did Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It is truly amazing to see what these people are capable of. My hats are off to the musical and artistic directors. They really pour their hearts into it and it shows. My son Brendon was born premature (6 mos.) he weighed 1lb 4oz. and his twin weighed 1lb 13 oz. That was 23 years ago. Brendon is legally blind and has CP and his twin is hearing impaired. Brendon loves music (always has) and he has become quite the musician. He plays the bass guitar and is in a band called the Gregory St. Blues Band (comprised of 12 special needs individuals). They have played at the special olympics, retirement parties, and other Gigs (that's what he calls them). I love seeing him perform but more importantly I love to watch how the audiences embrace them. It is a sight to see. I wish there was a way to get the word out about the program that he attends. I think alot of people have no idea what these people are capable of and also let parents who have children/adults like Brendon know that they too can be artists. If you have any ideas let me know!
