Some people feel a lack of productivity when they no longer have a regular work site or schedule. It’s hard to even fathom this when you are working, since you dream of the day when these pressures are gone. This is something I've been struggling with the last year, after spending 30 years in the workplace in a high paced, demanding job. They say that volunteering can help people stay active

I hear from Dave Ramsey (radio host) that more millionaires are made between the ages of 50 and 60 than in any other decade. You've just been stalled temporarily, I'm sure. I have told my husband though that we are going to need some hobbies for "someday." I did take on being an agent at age 22, and thought I could have a fifty year career. I hope I can achieve some brilliant results at more like 40 years in. Then, I'd like to have a very glamorous job writing fortunes for a fortune cookie factory, (actually, I'd like to do that now...) or running a sweet old fashioned one person post office in a beautiful bank...like our's in LA on Larchmont. That way, I could see most of the folks in town and be in on a little gossip. Now that you mention it, I better get to a more specific dream and plan. Your work sounds like has been changed, but not done, especially if you are taking on a cast of special needs kids!
Sounds like you have a lot of heart. I worked for a time with kids from the Media Access office, to break them into show business. The kids are some of the sweetest on Earth!
What is the musical?
Take care!
