Hi LC and welcome. We live in Denver for about a year and loved it. Used to go fishin a lake Granby. We were only there a short time and never made it to ski? We did plenty of skiing in Europe! Join our wine group and we can talk about all kinds of wine trips in the area!

Aruba - The Verdict

My husband and I just returned from an 8 night stay at Aruba's Bucuti Hotel. We chose the property based on online reviews and were pleased to find them all very accurate.

Their staff is some of the most friendly I have ever encountered. From Illis at check in, Bettina at the Concierge desk and Bruno at the bar, to Nandranie our housekeeper, their team is dedicated, professional and sets a fantastic example of what great guest service looks like. I work in the industry and have never seen a sta… Continue

Bravo Becco! (another NYC dining review and a duplicate of what I posted in the Forum)

Greetings Hub - I'm in NYC again! I was so excited about my dinner tonight I rushed right back to my hotel to write my report. I asked the concierge at my hotel (the Muse) for a dining suggestion - a place that would be "single diner" friendly. She suggested Lidia Bastianich's Becco on restaurant row - 46th between 8th and 9th. I was met with a very warm welcome and seated in the back of the restaurant - surprisingly cavernous. Becco serves each table a b

Something Special is Cooking in Sonoma (and other wine country dining reviews)

As usual, a disclaimer precedes this posting. 1. This one is REALLY long and 2. In analyzing how I rated NYC restaurants I realized I've been too generous. I am going to make a diligent effort going forward to be more critical, albeit objective, in my reviews (it's just hard for me - I so love to dine!). My husband and I returned from 5 days in wine country last night. So here goes with our adventures in Napa and Sonoma:

We began our trip with lunch at the Wine Spectator restaurant at

Napa/Sonoma Recent Wine Tours/Tasting Reviews

My husband and I recently spent a few days in wine country and did a fair amount of wine tasting.

Here's my report:

NAPA:

Frank Family - located off the beaten path on Larkmead Lane (i think that's right) near Calistoga. This wasn't our first time and we had just as much fun this time as last. The people are friendly, they have solid knowledge of the wine and there's no attitude. Their tastings are free (which seems to be rare th

NYC Restaurant Reviews and Say No to Nobu

Having just returned from 5 days on a girls vacation to New York City, I couldn't WAIT to report about my dining experiences to the Hub. I should preface this review by warning you 1. it's LONG and 2. I'm a shameless foodie. I appreciate great service and I adore good food. I have dined at many of the top award winning locations around the country and consider myself an impartial (usually) critic.

The Stanton Social is on the Lower East Side and serves sm
